I'm 20 Years Old Tomorrow
So I thought I’d wiki “30 April” and see if anything interesting happened or any interesting people share my birthday. This is mostly to keep me away from my birthday presents until Hannah gets here :) 1492 - Spain gives C. Columbus his commission of exploration. 1789 - George Washington takes office to become the first elected President of the United States. 1803 - Louisiana...

What's Your Mother's Maiden Name?
Seems to me that after joining a few random sites recently, this is the most common “Secret Question” that will help you to gain access to your account should you forget your password. So, if anyone asks you about your mother, don’t tell them her maiden name - you might find your self a victim of identity theft.

Discrimination against callused community
If you own an iPod touch, iPhone, iPad or a touch sensitive TV or Blackberry Torch then this affects you. Well only if you’re an avid guitarist. I found when I bought my iPod Touch last year that I couldn’t use it properly. My left had can’t use the touch screen because I have hard, callused fingers from playing guitar. When trying to use the iPad’s qwerty pad I...

Glimpses into something more?
As naïve as it sounds, I never really realised that so many of the stories we read are real life experiences. Just watching Becoming Jane and seeing that small things that happened in her life are reflected in her books. Its just that I wonder if she can tell stories built (not based) on her experiences. How many other authors have done that? How many occasions have we glimpsed into their...

It's Not Being Resourceful, It's Cheating
This week I’ve been given some temp work in a parts shop and I’ve been counting stock. It’s long and can be tedious but we listen to the radio - something I don’t normally take time to do. I love when you do the “Guess The Year” hour and you try and figure it out by the songs or the clue given throughout the hour. I never text in but I’m not too bad at...

This struck me as odd
If you’ve been around the Tumblr-block once or twice you’ll have noticed that there are celeb/tv/character/famous people etc blogs which don’t belong to the person in question. They’re more like fan sites with pictures or quotes or news on said celeb/tv program/character/famous person. It seems the pattern (thereby allowing us to know it is a fansite) is to start the...

BBT Funnies #1
Penny: Do you know last weekend Priya took Leonard rollerblading at the beach? Do you believe that?
Bernadette: I feel like I’m supposed to say ‘That bitch’, but I don’t have enough information.

Day 9
WE had the whole day out yesterday - a first for the Greece Missions Team. We started out in the Market. We were handing out leaflets and New Testaments. It was very busy and we had a great morning, to see the people of the city roaming the market was an amazing atmosphere.  We were invited by the “Lady with the Leg” (the one who was healed on Thursday) to a restaurant her family owes...

Don't Talk During Prayer
I don’t like when people talk during their prayer. Like telling people stories or complaints or encourage or just generally give out messages while praying. I think that in that way we are using prayer as a cover. Let’s be honest if you’re not truly addressing God in what you’re saying then you shouldn’t say that and call it prayer. Because all you’re doing is...

Questions About Prayer
I’d love to know what qualifies as prayer. Is it closed eyes? Bowed heads? Clasped hands? Out loud? Real words? Spoken or sung? Verbal or written? Can you really do it anywhere (including on the toilet)? Does God listen better to big words? Should we only tell Him what we think He wants to hear? Can we yell?
