Homesick
It is a curious emotion, this certain homesickness I have in mind. With South Africans, it is a national trait, as native to us as the braais or sport-driven-lifestyles. It is no simple longing for the home town or country of my birth. I am torn between a nostalgia for the familiar and an urge for the foreign and strange. As often as not, I am homesick most for the places I have never fully known.

A Spiritual Father
We had a few pastors from the US lecturing us this week at college. One of the most important lesson I learnt from them this week was about spiritual fathers and spiritual sons.
1 Corinthians 4:14-16 “For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers.”
